Most people were present today (hooray for improving health and fewer emergencies), so this post is fairly redundant. Refer to Saturday's update for the sections on the test. If you WERE absent and thus missed the "solid-sentence I.D." practice, the best I can tell you is to expect to write ONE informative, detailed sentence about an item, making sure to specify author, work, brief context/explanation, and insightful commentary on the significance. You will have 4-6 such sentences to write on the I.D. section of the test.
Study the ending of "Metamorphosis" closely. By design, we did not "go over" the closing passage in class.

ReplyDeleteThat test was formidable to say the least. Though I hate it when people describe evaluations as "fair," I must say I feel what was asked of us on Tuesday was not unreasonable. Maybe a few of the matching questions were excessively specific, but Dr. Boaz needs a nice bell curve of scores doesn't she? With six answer choices she'll get a nice, wide middle range with a few guessers who got them consistently right. Unfairly chance based? Maybe. That's advanced placement for you.
