1) We did not quite get to the stopping point I'd hoped for in 2nd and 3rd--we will do that first thing tomorrow. But you should just continue reading from whichever paragraph we stopped with. Remember that by Monday, everyone needs to have read Heart of Darkness once through.
2) Students received the hand-out for an out-of-class essay with the first draft due next Friday, Nov. 13.
If you were absent, pick up a copy from the folder on the table by the door.
3) Tomorrow in class we will be working with the grammar assessment.
