1. First, a special note to 6 people only: Joe, Keegan, and Jasmine in 1st; Spencer, Lucas, Janella in 2nd
One mistake occurred on the sign-ups, but I think we can work it out one way or another. The calendar dates on the hand-out were all correct, but I forgot to change it on the actual sign-up sheet (thought I did, but . . .). Anyway, the 1st and 2nd period people who signed up to present on Thursday, May 26, are really supposed to be presenting on Friday, May 27. I hope you can switch to Friday without a problem so that you can have a prep day just before and everyone can have an extra reading day before Ch. 10. If you simply can't, then in your particular period we will go ahead as you signed up. (3rd, it was fixed during your class--no change required.)

2. Next, a note to 2nd period.  There will be a shift in announcements on Thursday, so that you will hear more video info with the people you'll be with.  Our position is the hallway between C-9 and the Career Center--the same as Carl--so that's where you will gather go when you are dismissed to do this on Friday. You will have about 5 minutes tomorrow to plan if you are going to bring anything (posters, balloons, silly string, your big lit books, whatever . . . ) There will be 3 takes, and the first one (or 2? don't know) will be practice only--don't waste what you bring.  You don't need to bring anything.  But you need to THINK about your 5 to 8 seconds of fame.  Make me proud!

3. Everyone, be good and read well. And to the early presenters--thank you for paving the way. Just remember that your audience will have read the book, too, and they are smart. Your job is to take us all to a higher level of literary criticism, deeper insights, or whatever spatial metaphor you wish to apply to really getting into this rich text!!
