Spring Break!!

TODAY IN CLASS
We talked about two more poems--Shakespeare's Sonnet 73 and George Herbert's "Easter Wings." We used the black book again, and truthfully, I'm not sure if both are in your big lit. book.  They're easy to find on-line, though; do so, and see what you think is important and/or interesting about each one.

With Crime and Punishment, it's clear that this has been a busy week.  Some people, however, have been reading this book since it was recommended back in February, and totally aced the quiz.  And others just didn't make a serious effort, I think, to do what a senior honors student should be able to manage. Yes, there was a quiz.  Yes, people who were gone will be expected to take it at the start of class when you return.  The rest of you, don't fret over whatever happened (or didn't) today, but the stakes will become much higher when you return.  Do what you can to be prepared.

FOR MONDAY, April 5
You have quite a few days of flexible time.  Use it wisely.  Have fun, relax, sleep late when you can, but READ.
