We spent 15-20 minutes going over yesterday's new passages and making sure that everyone was squared away on the writing due on Monday.

Then we hit the "restart" button on poetry--yes, Milton's epic is poetry with a capital P, but we didn't really treat it as such.  So we started with an 1851 poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, "The Eagle."  We spent about 30-35 minutes on this poem, and in first period, I think we're done.  In 2nd and 3rd, we're still working with sound features.  We'll play with a couple other short poems tomorrow.

HOMEWORK
Be working either on the Frankenstein/source works paper for Monday, or continuing to read Oedipus Rex for Tuesday.
