MARY SHELLEY'S DEBT TO COLERIDGE AND MILTON
Only a handful of folks submitted their Frankenstein sources papers by the original Monday a.m. deadline. But, yes, it was a pretty good Superbowl unless you were for the Colts. So get that work done and in; I just set up the new folders. (Michael, I hope you don't get further stranded by the next storm; just plug away, and you will get your own special extension when you return. Send some snow up to Cypress Mountain and even to Whistler, please; the Olympics needs some serious winter precip!!)
TODAY IN CLASS
We are almost back on "the same page," so to speak. Everyone finished "The Red Wheelbarrow." Only first period actually took a quick look at the Donne poem, and even you don't need to do anything serious with it for tomorrow. The paper and Oedipus are plenty.
3rd, we gave short shrift to "Stopping by Woods . . ." but it may have to do for the present.
New hand-out: AP Poetry Terms (70 strong, but you already know many of them). Quizzes on Feb. 24 (first half) and March 3 (second half).
FOR TOMORROW
Apart from the obvious (see above), I hope you've finished Oedipus Rex. Bring your big lit book (or the drama section if you have the piecemeal version) to class tomorrow.
