Tuesday is Retro-Ski Day

Hope you're prepared for that.  Looks like there was quite a bit of participation for Pajama Day--apparently that's a cozy favorite.

TWO ACTIVITIES FOR TODAY==ONE INDIVIDUAL, ONE GROUP

Individual: 15 minutes (Chapters 1-9 only)
• Answer all three of the following questions.
• Respond in 2-3 clear insightful sentences
• In bullet form (no need to embed into your own claim), include at least two
   quotations (With page number!)
Questions:
1) Define the nature of the relationship between Edna and Robert as precisely as you can,
noting what you think each “gets” out of the relationship
2) How is Madame Ratignolle different from Edna in terms of the roles of wife and mother?
3) Why does Madame R. feel that it’s necessary to warn Robert about his relationship with
Edna? What exactly does she mean?

These were turned in--actual time tended to be 20 minutes.

Group: Rest of period (Chapters 1-19)
Awakening(s)—Literal and metaphorical, with or without actual forms of the word
List out: Write out in full—Include chapter number for all quotes
If anyone has “MY” edition, use that for page references (otherwise just note
pages; mine is the Barnes & Noble in which Ch. 1 starts on p. 1 and Ch. 9 begins
  on p. 30)

We’ll deal with the “so what” later

FOR TUESDAY
Yes, I'm stuck on the nines:  Read Chapters 20-29.
